Winter Term Business Development Associate
The Winter Term Business Development Intern will assist Metrus’ Business Development team in the origination and development of Energy Efficiency Service Agreements with Fortune 500 and major institutional customers. Responsibilities will include:
· Identifying target customers for Efficiency-as-a-Service projects in several focus geographic markets
· Assisting in the preparation of customer pitch decks and other collateral marketing materials
· Conducting research on 2 selected priority customer market segments and drafting associated deliverables for internal review
· Contributing content to Metrus’ social media accounts and supporting online marketing efforts, including writing a blog on a selected topic for Metrus’ website
· Economic modeling of projects in development
· Participating in various customer and partner calls
Designed as a learning opportunity for students interested in renewable energy, energy efficiency, or cleantech finance, the Winter Term Intern will simultaneously be exposed to ongoing training sessions with Metrus leadership on topics related to cleantech project finance and energy efficiency. While an ideal candidate will have some basic familiarity with current trends in utility markets and energy efficiency, the most important prerequisite for the Winter Term Internship is a demonstrated interest in exposure to work at the nexus of sustainability and financial services.
