Data Analyst Intern

The Jack Langerman Internship at Genius Sports 

Location: New York City 
Duration: Summer 2026 (2 months)

The Jack Langerman Internship is awarded to a Middlebury student who embodies the curiosity, kindness, and drive that defined Jack’s impact at Sports Innovation Lab, a Genius Sports company.

This two-month summer internship offers the opportunity to work with our Data & Insights team, contributing to industry-shaping research at the intersection of sports, technology, and fan engagement.

About the Role: Data Analyst Intern 

As a Data Analyst Intern, you’ll work closely with our Data & Insights team to support research, develop insights, and contribute to client-facing deliverables. 

This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, collaborative, and excited about using data to tell meaningful stories. 

 

What You’ll Do 

Data Analysis & Support: Prepare, organize, and analyze data to generate actionable insights  

Product Development: Collaborate with product teams to brainstorm and develop new features and research concepts  

Client Engagement: Participate in meetings, understand client needs, and help deliver high-quality research outputs  

 

What We’re Looking For 

Strong research, analytical, and writing skills  

Excellent time management and ability to work in fast-paced environments  

A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn  
 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)  

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar

The CCI Select Internship Program offers Middlebury students the opportunity to take part in impactful, hands-on internships across the U.S. and around the world. Each position is chosen for its strong mentorship, meaningful learning outcomes, and potential to help students explore career interests in a real-world setting.  

· Funding: Interns receive a $5,000 CCI award to support their summer experience.  

· Requirements: Your résumé must be CCI-approved to apply. Selected interns must participate in all cohort meetings and complete pre-internship forms, a post-internship evaluation, and a donor thank-you letter.   

· Eligibility: Open to returning Middlebury students. Seniors graduating in May 2026, students not enrolled in Spring or Fall 2026, and those planning to transfer are not eligible.
