Full-Stack Software Engineer

By extracting social signals from digital workplace communications, we provide users with the real-time, predictive analytics to increase their professional well-being and performance(and that of those around them). We are a small founding team that is well funded by BloombergBETA and Silicon Valley Data Capital. Our San Francisco office is a co-working space with a great sense of community, and views of the Bay. We have access to amenities like a fully stocked kitchen and all the computer equipment and gadgets you need.
We are a small, driven team who move quickly but value our work-life balance and don’t track or limit vacation/sick days.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You'll be working closely with the entire founding team to deliver a fast, beautiful product with enterprise-grade security and reliability. The job will require working on a wide range of problems and you should be comfortable quickly learning and working with new technologies/platforms. A typical day might include:
- Bringing a visual design document to life: turning it into functioning code while improving the design and resolving incosistencies/vagueness along the way.
- Building apps/integrations to expose our data in new and creative ways, like a browser extension, chatbot, or mobile app.
- Building new API’s to communicate with the data/statistics layers.
- Integrating with third party services to bring new data into our system.
- Re-writing database queries or performing database migrations to improve speed.
- Writing scripts to improve deployment processes or tweaking AWS configuration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, web infrastructure)
- Experience developing web applications, including highly interactive, responsive websites using modern web development frameworks.
- Proficient in React with strong knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
- Solid understanding of database design.
- Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment, has strong communication skills and is excited about the opportunity to influence product development and roadmapping.
- Passionate about creating more unbiased, inclusive and productive workplaces!
NICE TO HAVES:
- BS in Computer Science or related quantitative disciplines.
- Experience building analytics products and using charting/visualization libraries a plus.
