The role: We are a product-driven organization. That’s why were looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to help us design, build, and roll out the next frontier of tools this summer.

As a Product Management intern, you’ll work cross-functionally across the entire organization -- with the Political team to gain insight into user needs and pain points, with the Marketing and Sales team to understand the pipeline and key clients, and the Engineering team to give input into the product roadmap. • Analyze customer journeys and flows using MobilizeAmerica’s thousands of data points on users and partners
  • Research the progressive tech ecosystem and help define MobilizeAmerica’s relative positioning
  • Research the progressive grassroots organizing landscape and identify growth strategies for leveraging new partnerships to broaden our audience
  • Identify current weaknesses and user experience pain points across our events feed, mobile app, client dashboard, and email communications
  • Develop and execute growth experiments to boost volunteer shifts across the country
  • Create business cases around potential new product launches
  • Develop product marketing material to bring in new customers and expand to new groups of volunteers
Who you are:

  • Passionate about electing Democrats up-and-down the ticket in 2018
  • A hypothesis-driven analytical thinker
  • Not afraid of change, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented…
  • ...but still able to set up and run a ‘lean’ experiment, or 10
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Excited to dive into troves of data to pull out the most important insights
  • Meticulously results-driven
  • An expert navigator of Microsoft Excel, Powepoint, and Google Sheets

    • Technical academic background
    • Domain knowledge in one or more of the following: SQL, Python, Django, Postgres, PHP, payments gateways, Twitter and Facebook APIs, Hubspot

Logistics:
  • Based in our New York headquarters
  • 8-12 weeks
  • Flexible start and end dates

Who we are: In a moment of political turmoil, millions are looking to take action. At the same time, political campaigns struggle to scale volunteer action to reach their targeted voter universe.

Our platform allows volunteers and Democratic political campaigns to connect. Volunteers can surface the highest-impact actions, and campaigns can manage and automate their interactions with volunteers.

In Virginia, we proved the model works. We scaled to thousands of volunteers with nearly zero marketing budget, because our platform powered action for 50+ organizations including Flippable, the NDRC, and Vice President Joe Biden’s American Possibilities.

We're now closing out a note anchored by Higher Ground Labs (LPs including Reid Hoffman and Ron Conway) to capitalize on the opportunity in 2018 and beyond. We have $550k committed, and have a bit more space before we start raising into a new note at a higher cap.
