Operations Associate

Position Summary:

Under direction of the Product Operations Manager, the Operations Associate is responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination and implementation of defined projects that support organizational initiatives. 

The Operations Associate performs duties such as project planning, facilitation of meetings, identification and management of risk, and management of communication plans. This individual must be able to work independently while keeping management apprised of risks and project status. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in operational activities related to our FMT products
  • Research solutions that provide teams with cost-effective and efficient systems/processes to successfully reach their goals
  • Develop project plans which include, but are not limited to, defining project success criteria and strategy for execution
  • Lead initial meeting with project team to communicate individual roles and expectations
  • Provide project status information on a regular basis by tracking, monitoring and communicating progress against the project plan, requirements and milestones
  • Develop and implement contingency plans when deliverables are missed
  • Ensure that assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule while meeting business objectives
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer to team members

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science, Computer Science, or Business
  • 1+ years of work experience; preferably in a highly regulated environment (or internship or co-op experience)
  • Knowledge of or experience with agile or other project management techniques
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate and work with team members
  • Motivated self-starter, able to tackle complex projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong critical thinking, time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
