Timeline
- Applications: August 2018- November 2018
- Interviews: September 2018- November 2018 on a rolling basis.
- Internship: 10-12 weeks. Starts dates for the summer intern program are May 14, 2019 or June 11, 2019.
Once you apply to this application, we will provide regular status updates to all applicants on a rolling basis. Based on your prior experiences and interests, your resume will be shared with hiring managers across SAS. This will then determine who you interview with during the selection process. During the selection and interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the team you may work on.
Software Quality Tester Summer Internship
SAS products are known by our customers for their outstanding quality. This makes software testing paramount within our organization. We have teams of highly-talented engineers who work to detect issues early, resolve them quickly and avoid future problems. As a Software Quality Testing Intern, you would be working to make ensure our SAS products and solutions are keeping our customers satisfied by working closely with our development teams on testing processes, standards, and best practices through scripting and development of testing tools.
What are we looking for?
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking a Bachelor’s degree in a US Based school.
- Programming experience. So you know how to code and stuff.
- This is a 10-12 week internship so you have to be able to work for all of Summer 2019.
- Students must not be graduating prior to the beginning of the internship, and be enrolled to return to school after the internship ends.
What type of skills do we prefer?
- Coding matters. Java, C, HTML, etc
- Linux, Unix, or Windows would be great.
- Previous testing experience
- Experience working with Junit, Groovy, or Git
- If you know SAS programming that’s an added bonus!
- Teamwork. With a dash of independence.
- Leadership. You sit in the front row of the class.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher. Going to class is #vital.
- Emails. You have to know how to write them.
- Talking. You have to do it effectively.
