Finance Intern

The intern will provide support to various functions in the small Shanghai office including but not limited to Investment, Asset Management, Project Development and Finance. There will be also opportunity to be engaged in local or regional projects. The role provides an excellent opportunity to have an overview of the local property (real estate) industry and develop knowledge and skills required for a career in property.
 Key responsibilities 

  • Assist in preparing various report, presentation and paper for internal and external use
  • Assist in performing financial analysis for pipeline investment projects
  • Assist in ongoing research for the sectors identified
  • Assist in transaction execution including due diligence, documentation drafting and onsite coordination
  • Participate project meetings, site visits, coordination of consultants and preparation of meeting minutes.
  • Participate in local and regional projects and initiatives when required
 Key relationships
  • Shanghai team and/or respective members of HK team

Key requirements
  • Undergraduate student in sophomore year or above
  • Demonstrate interest in real estate
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, able to quickly comprehend and make sense of large datasets
  • Pro-active; independent, task-focused and results-driven
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Compensation
This internship is donor-funded by the Middlebury Asia Council with a CCI award of $4,000.00
Funds will be paid in accordance with US or China guidelines, depending on citizenship of applicant chosen.
