Summer Internship for Development Team

About Teach For China
Established in 2008, Teach for China is a non-profit organization taking a unique approach to eliminating educational inequity in China by enlisting China’s most promising future leaders in the effort.

Each year, Teach for China selects a cohort of outstanding Chinese and American university graduates to work as full-time teachers in China’s most under-resourced schools for two years. Teach for China prepares its Fellows for the rigors of the classroom with an intensive four to six-week Summer Training Institute focused on building teaching, leadership, communication and professional capabilities.
The vision of Teach for China is: Let all Chinese children, regardless of background, have access to same quality education.

About Internship

Length
July 8, 2019 – August 12, 2019 (Full-time work)
 
Location
Shenzhen or Beijing, China
 
Responsibility
Basic responsibility includes but not limited to:
  • Assist Key Account Team in building up donation pipeline, including but not limited to high-net-worth individuals, corporations and foundations, etc.
  • Work closely with Crowdfunding Team in new product development and platform maintenance
  • Timely update in-house CRM system and ensure a world-class service to donors
  •  Other responsibilities assigned.

  • Get to know an outstanding NGO development team and its work
  • Get to know a group of passionate and outstanding colleagues
  • Gain access to Teach for China important donors

  • Be able to deal with pressure in a fast-paced working environment
  • Goal and detail-oriented
  • Be proactive and possess strong communication skills
  • Be fluent in English, basic Chinese communication will be preferred

Compensation
This internship is donor-funded by the Middlebury Asia Council with a CCI award of $4,000.00
