As a member of the professional staff reporting to the Executive Director of Development in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's division of Community Relations and Development, the Principal Gift Officer is responsible for identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors for all programs and services, includes collaboration with volunteers in planning and implementation of programs and events through various committees and Board leadership. Develop new relationships with new constituents.
 
Experience:
Minimum of five years development experience
5-7 years experience as a front line gift officer
Demonstrated success, thorough knowledge and understanding of best practices in healthcare/research fundraising
Well-delivered interpersonal skills including the ability to function well in a multiple-team environment and interact effectively with all levels of staff, including executive level clients
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of community/philanthropic resources
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer skills; experience with database management, word-processing and other electronic means of communication and data management
 
Physical Demands:
Lifting, standing, walking

Education:
BS/BA Degree or equivalent job experience preferred
