COPE Health Scholar - Winter Intensive Health Scholar

Overview

Winter Intensive Health Scholar is is perfect for individuals looking to gain firsthand experience in a clinical setting, along with health care management interactions and experiences, in an intensive format over eight (8) weeks during the summer or four (4) weeks during the winter. You will participate in skill-based workshops, such as suturing, and attend a seminar taught by UCLA faculty. Upon graduation, you will receive a completion certificate from UCLA’s Executive Programs in Health Policy and Management.

Available at a variety of sites to choose from throughout Southern California to obtain first-hand patient care experience.



Eligibility


Scholars must be accepted to, enrolled in or graduated from an accredited college or university, and be at least 18 years old.

Commitment


The Winter Intensive Healthd Scholar program will require a full-time commitment every day of the program. Your clinical site rotations schedule will be assigned before your first day, and hours may be scheduled from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday (7 days per week). In addition to rotations at your clinical site, you will be required to attend skills workshops and additional events as part of the program.
