IT and Technical Assets/Systems Intern

Job Description
Lionano is seeking conscientious and self-motivated individuals with a desire to learn about the full spectrum of small enterprise IT functions for a summer internship. During this internship, interns will support ongoing IT processes as well as kickstart new programs and reforms, following both conventional IT practices as well as specialized R&D-originated asset and network requirements. These experiences will provide interns with a variety of opportunities to learn and grow in the technology field.

Responsibilities 
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations, external vendors, and other stakeholders to research, assess, and establish technical assets and systems
  • Build, deploy, and support workstations, devices, and network hardware for end users
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document hardware and software issues as they arise
  • Provide support and guidance to hardware and software end users
  • Uphold the confidentiality and security of Lionano data and documents
  • Assess current programs and processes and suggest improvements as necessary

Qualifications
  • This is a paid internship supported by the MassCEC Clean Energy Internship Program. Candidates must attend, or have graduated within the past year from, a Massachusetts college or university, or they must be a Massachusetts resident, with proof of residency, who attended an out-of-state college or university.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (completed or in progress) in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Windows-based computer systems and Local Area Networks
  • Prior experience building PCs and servers
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all Lionano departments and related vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Preference will be given to candidates who also speak basic Mandarin.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications preferred
  • Basic network administration experience preferred
