Portfolio Data Analyst
Andreessen Horowitz, a high technology venture capital firm, has an immediate opening for a Portfolio Data Analyst in our Corporate Development Group.
In this role, you will provide real and sustained value to: (i) team members in the Corporate Development group; (ii) the broader firm, through cross-functional collaboration; and (iii) the firm’s portfolio companies.
You will be responsible for the end to end process regarding the management of the team’s portfolio datasets, including collection, categorization and streamlining of various data sources, and deliver actionable insights for the firm and portfolio companies.
What you will do:
- Primary ownership of building and maintaining Corporate Development’s benchmark and portfolio financial datasets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and internal consistency, as well as improving existing data by prospecting and vetting new sources
- Design scalable processes and solutions that enable firm-wide consumption of the data, working closely with our Engineering team
- Perform quarterly and annual quantitative and qualitative analyses and reporting packages for the firm and the portfolio
- Create and manage analytics dashboard reporting with a focus on providing actionable insights
- Provide support to the Corporate Development and the Late Stage Venture investment teams in various analyses
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics or related fields; up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python or other programming languages is a plus
- Experience in designing and deploying data reporting, data visualization, and business intelligence solutions is a plus
- You are a self starter who is highly motivated, with high attention to detail and proven ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated willingness to work in a collaborative team environment in a cross-functional capacity
