Job Description
Verblio is currently scaling up its enterprise packages to offer large customers publish-ready content that’s delivered efficiently while perfectly matching their tone and content guidelines.
We’re currently seeking a part-time editor who can identify high-quality articles, proofread them, and edit them to match a given client’s style guide. While each enterprise account is unique, this position will usually entail article selection, proofreading and editing, and light SEO optimization and photo selection.
Necessary Skills
A candidate who will succeed in this position will be:
· An efficient reader and editor with impeccable grammar.
· Able to accurately assess an article’s quality and fit with a customer’s style.
· Adept at cross-checking facts and statistics cited in content for accuracy.
· Excited to read a lot of diverse and, often, random content.
· Able to dedicate at least 10 hours/week.
Requirements
A candidate must be:
· Excited to take a short grammar and editing test
· A grammar boss
· An owner of a BA degree or higher
· Extra credit:
o Basic SEO knowledge
o Random liberal arts degree with a thesis title that extends beyond a full sentence
o The cutest dog ever
