Bachelor Level Internship
Bachelor’s level students who are rising Seniors majoring in psychology, sociology, human development, public health, human services, social work, neuropsychology, neuroscience or another mental health related field, that are interested in participating in the Internship Program at Seacoast Mental Health Center, should fill out an application and submit their resume with a cover letter and a letter of recommendation from a department chair, professor or academic advisor from a current or previous academic institution for consideration.
If selected, internship candidates will be subjected to driving and criminal background checks. Once these are cleared a start date will be determined.
Bachelor’s level interns will participate in a 12-week summer internship held from mid-May to mid-August.
It will consist of shadowing outreach staff in the community in the Children and Adult Services Departments, including Fairweather Lodge, group home. Interns will also participate in groups, Children’s summer program, and will be required to attend educational meetings offered by the center.
Bachelor’s level interns will receive one hour of weekly group supervision from the Internship Manager and will attend the corresponding weekly meeting for the team they have been assigned to. Individual supervision from their assigned program manager or team supervisor may be offered as needed or requested.
