Research Technician I, Holland Lab

 We are seeking an experienced Research Technician to assist in management of drug studies, various ongoing projects and maintaining murine colonies in a laboratory within our Human Biology Division.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain reagents, stocks, and cultures necessary to perform the work
  • Maintain and perform husbandry and genotyping of murine colonies, as well as, to maintain associated databases
  • Tag, weigh and record data used for tracking purposes and administer drugs/reagents per guided protocols, including the harvest of brain tumors
  • Perform, collect and analyze flow cytometric assays
  • Maintain records for experiments and quality control for the laboratory
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy for all work
  • Work well as team-member
  • Operate and carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and stocking of lab supplies and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in biology or related fields is required, and experience working in a laboratory related to immunology projects in a murine model is helpful. We need an individual with high caliber work ethic, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, including coming in on weekends to weigh and monitor murine colonies, when and if need be. Dependable and able to work independently.
