Software Development Intern - Remote (U.S.)

Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) is looking for interns or co-ops in Software Development to support REMI’s Research and Development division.
 
 
*This position will be full-time and remote through the rest of 2020. Ideal for applicants who are considering a co-op for the fall semester or are taking a gap semester/year away from school.


Responsibilities

 
As a Software Development Intern, you will contribute to various tasks that are necessary to produce economic modelling software. This may include working on software solutions for collecting and processing data, helping improve internal databases, performing quality assurance and software testing, providing software usability feedback, maintaining and improving programs, or helping with IT projects.
 




Qualifications

 
Students with computer science- or mathematics-related backgrounds are preferred. Programming experience required and knowledge of Python, VBA, web programming, SQL and Access databases may be helpful. The successful candidate will be a motivated, responsible individual who can work with little direct supervision.
