Yared is a statistical reviewer at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In his role at the FDA, he employs a broad variety of statistical methods to ensure the design, and analysis of clinical studies result in the development of safe and effective drugs. Prior to joining the FDA, he worked as a biostatistician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Boston Children’s Hospital. Yared completed his PhD and MS in Biostatistics at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from Middlebury College and spent the early part of his career working as a high school teacher in the Washington DC area.
