About John Schirm '05.5

John is Google’s Sr. Director of Executive Compensation and has developed and evolved the company’s pay for performance philosophy, a cornerstone of Google’s strategy to attract and retain the world’s best talent. He started with Google in 2007 after working in National City’s Investment Banking Division. John works closely with Alphabet’s Leadership Development Inclusion and Compensation Committee representing People Operations’ strategy and managing the committee’s meetings. John graduated from Middlebury College with a joint major in Economics and Mathematics.
