Fantastic team, who are willing to get to know you and help you learn. Hands on projects that you get to have real responsibilities for. Big name clients with the potential to make an impact.
What I wish was different
Pay is only once a month.
Advice
Reach out to everyone on the team. It’s a small enough company that you can really get to know everyone.

What I liked
I most enjoyed the exposure I received to the clean energy sector as well as the substantial ownership and support I received on the projects I supported. During my ten months with ADL, I was staffed on three distinct projects and had the opportunity to learn from ADL’s knowledgeable staff on each one. I particularly enjoyed how purposeful and impactful my work was to add value to our clients.
What I wish was different
The only wish I had was that I could have been in-person to meet and get to know some of the other staff members who I did not get a chance to work with. COVID did not allow for that arrangement to be possible though.
Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions! Everyone is very friendly, experts in their respective fields, and are incredibly helpful and supportive with each project/any questions you may have about clean energy and pre-fab.

What I liked
It was a small company so I really got a chance to contribute meaningful work.
What I wish was different
The internship had to be remote because of covid. I would have loved to be in the office more but I enjoyed the flexibility and was still able to get to know the employees.
Advice
Don't be afraid to try something outside of your comfort zone. You will learn a lot about what you like and don't like in a job.
