What I liked was the opportunity to make positive macro level impacts in the fight against food insecurity and child hunger. I was able to participate in an evaluation program to help promote and improve summer meal sites, that will hopefully become a national program someday. I liked that I could help build a better foundation in this fight, and be an advocate.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have been able to explore more what the organization does, and be even a bigger part.
Advice
My advice would be if someone is on the fence about an experience like this they should do it. It will be a wonderful learning experience and opportunity to gain valuable contacts.
