Amazing program. Very well organized with interns from all over the world.
They had a coffee chat series and a lunch and learn series where scientists and staff from all levels shared their work in an informal way. Questions were encouraged, and I got to learn not just about software engineering and data science, but also about biology, scientific research, patent law, automation, manufacturing best practices, and more!
What I wish was different
This internship was as close to perfect as they get. People were very friendly and I really learned a lot. I just wish I knew more deep learning before I started so I could do more to help their research.
Advice
Don't judge an internship as good or bad based on the fame and recognition of the company name. I had never heard of NYSCF before, and I was not interested on biology. I took this internship because I didn't have a "better" option because I started my search late. And I'm so happy I took it!
